The Castle @ The House of Windsor is two family-friendly, fully self-contained apartments across stunning levels. As such, it features two fully equipped gourmet kitchens with dishwashers, three bedrooms, three bathrooms, two full laundries, three courtyards, two sun decks and a rooftop terrace. It is all just a two-min walk from the epicentre of the hottest restaurant and bar strip in Melb, the world-famous Chapel Street Windsor and The Avenue Hospital.

Welcome to my Uber family-friendly townhouse, much better than a 5-star hotel, right in the 'true' heart of stylish, whimsical Windsor - Free high-speed WIFI and Netflix. The house is not suitable for a group of singles - it is designed only for family groups or couples. This house is the two apartments (King's Domain - lower-level apartment and the Queens Loft - upper-level apartment). KING'S DOMAIN The King’s Domain, the entire ground floor apartment, represents open-plan living at its most stylish and luxurious. This new townhouse is fitted to the highest standard of appointments and luxury fittings, ideally suited to extended bookings, including hotel quality, starched and laundered bed linen. At about 100 SQ/M, the space is about 75% larger than other apartments in multi-unit developments and nearly four times the size of a standard hotel room, yet well under half the price. The townhouse features extra high ceilings and open planned living, dining and entertaining spaces with custom steel-framed doors that can open onto a fabulous front courtyard. The gourmet kitchen, designed for entertaining, comes complete with an induction cooktop and an entire oven and a butler's pantry. There is also a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer, and dryer, all of which are full-size. The townhouse features reverse-cycle air-conditioning and an excellent gas fire. Note: this is a vast open plan space with a separate main bedroom with king bed. A full-size and very comfortable queen bed in a section can be closed off by sliding screens that are frosted for privacy. The bathroom has two toilets and hand basins. Both are separated by 4/5 metres from each other. There is a massive rain head shower between the two bathrooms. The show has floor-to-fully frosted ceiling glass. It is designed so someone can use the battery and leave one side, while someone else can use the bathroom on the other side or enter the rain when vacant. You must wait until the other side is free if total privacy is required. QUEENS LOFT The House of Windsor is an architecturally designed, uber-chic townhouse inspired by New York City loft living. The steel-framed doors open to a spacious balcony. Later, enjoy a balmy evening on the rooftop terrace. The house is in a residential street with surrounding permanent tenants, so we only rent to mature guests that will remain respectful to our neighbours. The house will be used for relaxation-style holidaying; loud parties are prohibited.

House Rules

We don't like rules ourselves, however, this is a multimillion-dollar apartment and sadly we have only one bad incident which involved people using drugs on the property, so we hope you understand our caution. 1/ ABSOLUTELY no parties or events. Any breach will forfeit the security bond in full. The police will be called, and you will be asked to leave. 2/ Without prior approval only registered guests can be on the property at any time. 3/ No smoking inside. No smoking on the rooftop terrace. At no time must any noise emanate or be able to be heard outside of your apartment. We live in close proximity to our neighbours and if we get one complaint either from them or guests staying in the other apartment, you will be asked to cease the noise immediately. Failure to do so will see forfeiture of the entire security bond, and police will be called. 4/ PET Policy. 4/ Pets are welcome at this home however, the home is only suitable for small dogs. If you would like to bring your pet, please let us know what kind of pet, how many pets and the breed of the pet so that we can obtain approval from the owner. Failure to do this can result in your booking being cancelled. 5/ The house is not suitable for a group of singles - it is designed only for family groups or couples. If it's a single friends group, we only accept 5 guests maximum, and you must register each guest. STRICT NO PARTY POLICY - Zero tolerance for any noise or parties. All linens and towels are included. Lost or damaged hired linen/towels may incur costs. Ready Set Stay will assume no linen or towel sets are requested for hire unless advised. For linen or towel hires, advise Ready Set Stay asap, as delivery charges may be charged for late notice requests. Dogs 'may' be permitted but ONLY by prior agreement. Failure to seek permission beforehand will see your entire bond forfeited. Guests must abide by the following terms and conditions: ACCEPTANCE AND RESPONSIBILITY Payment of the deposit constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. CHECK-IN / OUT Check-in time is 3 pm, and check-out time is 10 am. Refer to the house manual when booking the key location; your unique code is confirmed. 3. SECURITY BOND A bond payment is allocated to the booking. Any damage, loss or expense incurred by management because of breaching these terms and conditions will be charged against the bond. Examples of this include but are not limited to any breakage, damage or excess cleaning requirements, extra guests beyond those declared, complaints made against you, etc. 4. PARTIES AND FUNCTIONS Parties are not allowed, and noise and music must be kept to a minimum due to surrounding permanent residency. This property is on a residential street. No loud music is to be played after 8 pm on weekdays, including Sunday, and after 10 pm on Friday and Saturday nights. Disobeying these rules may result in potentially losing your bond and being evicted from the property. 5. PETS Pet friendly, but strict conditions apply – Dog owners please be aware that the apartment is only suitable for one small dog. You must request permission before you book and the cost of any damage or additional cleaning will be recovered. If your dog sheds there will be an automatic additional cleaning charge. Our preference is for one small dog, but others may be considered on request. Your booking may be cancelled if you have a dog and do not seek permission prior. If your dog barks and we get a complaint from neighbours, you will be asked to leave and your booking cancelled. We hate to be so strict, we are dog owner ourselves but we have had too many instances of damage being caused and neighbours lodging complaints with the council. By proceeding with your booking you agree to these conditions. 6. LINEN AND TOWELS All linen and towels are supplied for your convenience. Lost or damaged hired linen/towels may incur costs. 7. PROBLEMS OR COMPLAINTS If a complaint is raised, guests will be contacted on the phone number provided on the booking request, please ensure this number is correct. If we cannot contact you within 15 minutes of the complaint being received or if the noise issues are not rectified after speaking, we will arrange for a security patrol car to attend to the home to investigate the complaint. If this occurs, guests will be charged $300 + GST. Any complaint, which cannot be resolved locally, must be notified in writing to management before departure from the property. We recommend all guests purchase travel insurance since Management is not responsible for any injuries, illnesses or accidents that may occur while staying at our property. 8. YOUR OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES You must comply with all applicable house rules for the property concerning occupancy, property, health, safety and quiet enjoyment of the property and our neighbours. You are responsible for damage, breakages, theft and loss of property during your stay. You must notify us of this immediately. Only the guests who agreed to the booking may stay on the property overnight. If more guests stay than the agreed number, all guests may be terminated without a refund. Before departure, all food must be removed from fridges and all rubbish put in the rubbish bins provided. Bins are to be left out on the nature strip. Extra cleaning charges may be incurred for cleaning dirty dishes, washing machine, dishwasher, emptying the fridge, removal of excessive rubbish, etc. Should the cleaning fee be more than the usual cost for cleaning the property, you will be charged the additional costs over and above the standard cleaning fee, which will be deducted from the security bond or charged to your credit card. We have installed security cameras to monitor all external entrances to both apartments. We can access these remotely, they are motion activated and have infrared night vision. They are only there for us to monitor guests who try breaking the house rules of ‘no parties and extra guests well more than the number booked’. 10. VERIFICATION FORM Before the booking can commence, a verification form must be filled in on the guests and who is staying and received by Management. 11. GENERAL INFORMATION The home has a Caffitaly Map coffee machine, and compatible pods can be purchased from local Supermarkets. The rooftop terrace is available for you to enjoy, but there is a NO SMOKING rule due to the flammable nature of the turf. Please stay within the fenced area. Smoking is not permitted in the home.
